Heat Treatment

Heat treatment is a type of fumigation where the core temperature of the wooden products is heated up to a temperature of 56.6 °C for 1 hour as per ISPM 15 standards. The process is to eradicate all unwanted moths, pests, and bug eggs in wooden logs, sawn wood, and untreated wood to protect them from environmental issues.

It is done mainly to avoid insects spreading among the countries. After the heat treatment, the wooden product is marked or stamped IPPC-HT to show that the heat treatment process has been completed and the product is safe to be exported as per international standards. Once the process is completed, the products must be shipped within five days. AE-017 is our code for heat treatment fumigation.
